Creating & Configuring an Insight Package

Modified on Thu, 5 Mar at 9:20 AM

What this article covers: How to create a new Insight Package, add dashboards, reports, and Pulse views to it, and set up scheduled delivery. For viewing packages that have already been set up, see Viewing Insight Packages.

An Insight Package lets you bundle dashboards, reports, and Pulse views into a single, professionally formatted PDF that can be delivered automatically on a schedule — so management, board members, or clients receive up-to-date financials without you preparing anything manually.

1. Navigating to Insight Packages

From the left navigation, click Insight Packages. The sidebar will display all existing Insight Packages, along with two options at the top:

  • Schedule — set up or manage automated email delivery for any package.
  • Custom — modify or delete an existing Insight Package.

To create a new package, click Custom then New Package, and give it a name.

2. Adding Content to a Package

You can add three types of content to an Insight Package: Dashboards, Reports, and Pulse views. Click the Add button inside the package editor to add an item — you will be prompted to either:

  • Select an existing one — choose from dashboards, reports, or Pulse views you have already set up in BrizoSystem.
  • Create a new one — build a new dashboard, report, or Pulse view on the spot and add it directly to the package.
? Dashboards
Add any of BrizoSystem's built-in dashboards (Main, Profitability, Asset, Debt Management) or any custom dashboards you have created. Each dashboard is included as a visual snapshot in the package.
? Reports
Add built-in reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) or any custom reports. See Built-in Reports in BrizoSystem for the full list of available reports.
? Pulse
Add Pulse views (Key Metrics, Cash Flow Analysis, Receivables, or Payables) to give recipients a real-time health check of the business alongside the financial statements.
? Tip: For a board pack, a typical combination is Main Dashboard + Profitability Dashboard + P&L + Balance Sheet + Cash Flow. For a management review, add Pulse Key Metrics and Cash Flow Analysis.

3. Modifying or Deleting a Package

To edit or remove an existing Insight Package:

1
Click Custom in the Insight Packages sidebarThis opens the package management view listing all existing packages.
2
Select the package you want to changeClick to open it in edit mode. You can add or remove content items, reorder them, or rename the package.
3
Save changes or Delete the packageClick Save to keep your changes, or use the Delete option to remove the package entirely. Deleting a package also removes any active schedules attached to it.

4. Scheduling Automated Delivery

From the Insight Packages sidebar, click Schedule to set up automated email delivery for any package.

1
Select the package to scheduleChoose which Insight Package this schedule should deliver.
2
Set the frequencyDaily — every day at the specified time. Weekly — on a selected day of the week. Monthly — on a selected day of the month.
3
Enter recipient email addressesYou can enter any email address — recipients do not need a BrizoSystem account. Separate multiple addresses with commas.
4
Customise the email subject and message (optional)Add a subject line and short message so recipients immediately understand what they're receiving. Save the schedule — BrizoSystem will handle delivery automatically from that point.
⚠️ Timing tip: For monthly schedules, set delivery a few days after month-end to give your accounting system data time to sync into BrizoSystem before the package is sent.

To view, edit, pause, or delete existing schedules, see Scheduling Dashboards, Reports, and Insight Packages.

? Once your schedule is live, BrizoSystem generates and delivers the package automatically — always with the latest data. No manual preparation, no missed reports.
