The Cashflow Analysis page gives you an instant, structured view of your group's cash position for the selected month. It combines a health score, KPI performance against targets, a cashflow summary, and a detailed waterfall breakdown — all in one place.
Go to Pulse → Cashflow Analysis from the left navigation. Use the period selector at the top to change the reporting month.
1. Cashflow Health Score
The green panel on the left shows the Cashflow Health Score — a single number out of 100 that summarises overall cash health for the current month based on the KPIs you have selected and their weightings.
Element Description
Score (X / 100) Weighted average of all selected KPI scores — higher is better. Calculated each time data refreshes.
Period shown The reporting month displayed — matches the period selector at the top of the page
Watchlist button Pin this entity's cashflow health to a watchlist for quick monitoring across multiple entities
Below the KPI table, a status banner gives a plain-English summary of the cashflow position:
Status What it signals
✓ Cashflow Healthy All key cashflow KPIs are on track — cash position is strong
⚠ Cashflow Tracking Stable Cash position is stable but some KPIs are off target — continue monitoring inflow and outflow drivers
✗ Cashflow At Risk Cashflow KPIs indicate elevated risk — immediate review of cash movements recommended
2. Key KPIs — VS Target
The KPI scorecard in the centre of the top panel shows each cashflow KPI's performance against its target for the current month. Four columns are shown:
Column Description
KPI The cashflow metric — Operating Cashflow, Cash Ratio, Cashflow Margin %, Cash Balance
Relative A horizontal bar chart showing the KPI's relative value — green bars indicate strong performance, red indicates underperformance against target
Value The actual value of the KPI for the current reporting month
VS Target The variance against the target — green with an up arrow means ahead of target, red with a down arrow means behind. A dash means no target has been set.
Score (Pts) The points this KPI contributes to the overall health score, based on its weighting — maximum score per KPI equals its assigned weight percentage
The Total KPI score row at the bottom shows the sum of all individual KPI scores — this is the number displayed in the health score panel.
3. Cashflow Summary
The panel on the right shows three key cash position figures for the period:
Metric Description
Beginning Bank Balance The opening cash balance at the start of the reporting month
Net Cash Flow The net movement in cash during the month — positive means cash increased, negative means cash decreased
Closing Bank Balance The closing cash balance at the end of the reporting month — Beginning Bank Balance plus Net Cash Flow
4. Cashflow Waterfall Chart
Below the summary panels, the Cashflow Analysis section shows a detailed breakdown of all cash movements for the period as a horizontal bar chart. The chart uses three colours:
Colour What it represents
▮ Blue Opening / Closing balance — the cash position at the start and end of the period
▮ Green Inflow — cash movements that increased the balance (e.g. change in accounts payable, change in current liabilities)
▮ Red Outflow — cash movements that decreased the balance (e.g. change in accounts receivable)
The waterfall is organised into three sections matching the standard cash flow statement structure:
Section What it includes
Cashflow from Operations Operating Profit, changes in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, and Current Liabilities — and Net Cash Flow from Operations
Cashflow from Investing Changes in Fixed Assets and Non-Current Assets — and Net Cash Flow from Investing
Cashflow from Financing Changes in debt, equity, and other financing activities — and Net Cash Flow from Financing
? Tip: Click on any bar in the waterfall chart to drill down into the underlying transactions driving that movement — useful for investigating a large or unexpected change in a specific line item.
5. Configuring the Health Score
Click the edit icon in the top-right of the Cashflow Analysis page to open the Health Score Calculator. This is where you choose which KPIs contribute to the health score and how much each one is weighted.
How it works
1Select your KPIsClick + Add KPI to add a cashflow metric from BrizoSystem's built-in or custom KPI library. The default KPIs are Operating Cashflow, Cash Ratio, Cashflow Margin %, and Cash Balance.
2Set the weighting for each KPIEnter a percentage in the % field next to each KPI. The total weight should ideally sum to 100% — this determines how much each KPI contributes to the overall health score.
3Reorder KPIs if neededDrag the handle (⋮⋮) on the left of each KPI row to reorder them. Use the red delete icon to remove a KPI from the score.
4Click SaveChanges take effect immediately — the health score on the Cashflow Analysis page recalculates using the updated KPIs and weights.
? Tip: Assign higher weights to the KPIs that have the greatest impact on your business's cash position. For example, if Operating Cashflow is your primary concern, weight it at 40% or more and reduce the weight on less critical metrics like Cash Balance.
